It looks like EVO Japan this year will be held in Fukuoka. I hope they don’t mind having fewer entrants than my locals.

In my time in the FGC, I’ve noticed two extremely common misconceptions, about Korean joysticks in particular. It doesn’t really come as a surprise that people aren’t so well-informed about Korean joysticks considering their usage in the West, or lack thereof. What does surprise me though, is that there seems to be quite a few people out there who are irredeemably uninformed and yet readily and confidently offer their extremely welcome, sagely advice despite being utterly incorrect. Hopefully this blog post will be useful in preventing this misinformation from spreading.

It’s been about a week since Tekken 7 has been released (and a little bit longer since I’ve been playing it), and everyone seems to be enjoying the game. Most people seem to be practicing their long-time mains or learning the “new characters” because they’re plebeians that didn’t follow the arcade scene for the 2 years that the game has been out. The more intellectually-minded of us, however, have been spending their time to fulfill the objectively better purpose of studying the actual new character: Eliza (pronounced with a short ‘i’).
I’d also like to take this opportunity to remind all readers that I’ve been saying Eliza (and animal characters) were going to be added to the game 12 months before the official announcement. :^)

OHN 14 was my very first tournament, let alone a major. I wasn’t sure what to expect coming into it, but now that the dust has settled, I can frankly say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

The term “tier list” is rather prevalent in the video game community, and rightly so. Entitled faggots like myself seem to feel obligated to rank elements of a category within certain games above others, and share their “contribution” with the rest of the playerbase, despite not knowing anything about the game in question. Needless to say, it’s quite the polarizing topic, and each player holds one of numerous opinions in regards to the matter. Today, I’ll be telling you why they’re all wrong.

Tekken Ramblings
Despite being a very poor excuse for a gamer, there are three games that I’m rather passionate about right now. Actually, passionate isn’t really the right word. These three games, I play at a semi-competitive, or at the very least, non-casual level, let’s say. It should come as no surprise to anyone that these three games are 100% Orange Juice, Pokemon and Tekken. Today I’ll be testing the boundaries of WordPress’ potential character limit to share my experience and thoughts on the wonderful franchise that is Tekken.
